Waterloo
Student rental parking near both universities and sandy soil on the Waterloo Moraine. The City cuts every curb itself, so widenings need extra lead time.

Where we pave
Kitchener Asphalt Paving Pros is a paving contractor for all of Waterloo Region, working from a shop in south-central Kitchener near the Conestoga Parkway. Our crews pave, repair and seal driveways, lots and lanes anywhere within about a 35-minute drive, and Kitchener itself is our home base.
That radius takes in three upper-tier governments: the Region of Waterloo, Wellington County with the City of Guelph, and Halton Region at Acton. Each sets its own entrance permit rules, and the ground changes too, from Kitchener clay to Cambridge sand and gravel to the shallow limestone around Guelph and Rockwood.
Since 2013 we have finished more than 2,500 jobs across these towns. Each page below covers what is specific to that place: its neighbourhoods, its soils, its permits and how long it takes us to get there.
Service area
Our crews work every week across Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge, with regular days in the townships and Wellington County. The map is centred on our Kitchener shop.
5 to 20 minutes to every neighbourhood, from Bridgeport to Doon and Huron Park.
Waterloo, Cambridge and the townships of Woolwich, Wellesley and Wilmot, all within about 30 minutes.
Guelph, Elora, Puslinch and Rockwood, reached by Highways 6, 7 and 401.
Acton, at the eastern edge of our area, on planned paving days.
Waterloo Region
Inside Waterloo Region, the Region controls the main arterial roads and each city or township controls its local streets. Open a town to see its permits, neighbourhoods and typical jobs.

Galt, Preston and Hespeler, with narrow century driveways, new subdivisions and truck yards near the 401. Riverside lots on the Grand and Speed can need a GRCA permit.
Elmira, St. Jacobs, Breslau and Conestogo, plus long farm laneways. Steel wheels and hooves from horse-and-buggy traffic wear the edges of shared entrances.
Wellesley village, St. Clements and Linwood, with dairy-farm lanes where recycled asphalt often makes more sense than hot mix.
New Hamburg, Baden and New Dundee, where lots near the Nith River can fall in a regulated floodplain.
Permits
The authority that owns the road in front of a property issues its entrance permit, and that can be the local municipality, the Region or County, or the Province. We confirm which one controls your road before we quote.

Work near rivers, creeks and wetlands can also need a conservation authority permit. Most of our area falls under the Grand River Conservation Authority, while Acton is in the Credit Valley Conservation watershed.
Halton Hills
Acton is our only stop in Halton Region, so it gets its own group with its own permit authority and conservation authority. We book Acton work onto planned trip days.
Homes around Fairy Lake and along Highway 7, near the Niagara Escarpment. Halton Region and the Town of Halton Hills handle entrances, and Credit Valley Conservation covers regulated areas.

Drive times
Most of our service area is within 35 minutes of 324 Stirling Ave S, and the outer towns are grouped onto planned days so hot mix still arrives on time. These are typical daytime drive times.
| Town | Drive time | How we schedule it |
|---|---|---|
| Kitchener | 5 to 20 minutes | Any day |
| Waterloo | 15 to 20 minutes | Any day |
| Cambridge | 20 to 25 minutes | Any day |
| Woolwich | 20 to 25 minutes | Any day |
| Wilmot | 20 to 25 minutes | Any day |
| Puslinch | 20 to 30 minutes | Any day |
| Wellesley | 25 to 30 minutes | Any day |

| Elora | 30 to 35 minutes | Grouped with other Wellington jobs |
| Rockwood | 35 to 40 minutes | Planned trip days |

Rockwood and Acton sit just past our 35-minute standard, which is why we plan those jobs a little further ahead.
